The brief
Dealer feedback has a response-rate problem, not a form problem. An email survey after a service visit gets ignored, and a tablet handed over at the desk earns a polite three-star shrug. The group wanted honest answers from people who had just been served, while they were still on the premises and still had five minutes spare. The real question was not what to ask, it was what the customer gets in return.
What we did
- A name, and nothing else — The kiosk asks for a first name and starts. Every field between a customer and the thing they were promised is a place to give up.
- The survey is the price of entry, and we say so — Answering opens the arcade: four games, a points balance, a leaderboard. Saying the exchange plainly is what makes people finish it.
- Four games, one shared economy — Trivia, memory pairs, a sliding puzzle and a lane race, all on one points balance. One game is exhausted in a week; four keep a leaderboard worth climbing.
- Dressed in the group’s own brands — Every surface carries the marque wordmarks and the showroom’s dark-and-amber palette, down to the card backs. It reads as the dealership’s own screen.
- A puzzle cut from the group’s own photography — The sliding puzzle is built from the group’s vehicle photography, so the reward for playing is another look at the cars.
- Built for a screen nobody owns — A showroom kiosk is used standing up, briefly, by someone who has never seen it. Two large arrows steer, and nothing needs explaining.
- The leaderboard is the reason to come back — Position, player, points, games and date, with the top three marked. It turns a single visit into a running score across the showroom.
- The numbers, and the ability to change the questions — An admin covers responses, a form editor and users, so the group can change what is asked without us. Two questions gate every response: department, then marque.
What exists now
- In daily use on screens inside the showroom.
- Four games, a shared points economy and a live leaderboard.
- Every response attributable to a department and a marque.
- Questions editable by the group, without a developer.
